Based in Norfolk, VA, Beach House Editing is unique because it is a virtual post-production studio. You can get great quality films and videos regardless of where you are in the world, through the use of digital file transfers and video chat. If you prefer, mailing of hard drives is an option as well. If you live in the Hampton Roads, VA area, we can collaborate in person. Who am I?

My name is Kathleen Byrne. I have a passion for storytelling, no matter the format.  I grew up watching so many movies and so much television. I fell in love with the moving picture medium, and the rich history of film from countries all over the world. The idea of reaching someone through story and images, helping them learn something about themselves or the world around them, and making someone's favorite movie became my passion and goal. I taught myself how to edit, and I love starting from raw footage, finding the story, and working in collaboration to meet the end goal. Marrying these two joys is why I created Beach House Editing. 

I started editing in college when I was getting my Bachelors in Communications, with an emphasis in video production, at Old Dominion University. I then worked in radio promotions for twelve years. During that time I was also called upon to film, direct, and edit the radio company's country countdown television show, "Hampton Roads 20," which aired on local cable. In addition, I filmed, directed, and edited an extreme challenge web  series called "Promo Joe on the Go."

I also have experience editing short films, television shows, and commercials. I currently edit a nationally syndicated home organization show. I have a passion for storytelling, no matter the format.    

In addition to my many years of editing experiences, I have a background in marketing ranging from promotions to special events. If you are looking for a crowdfunding video or a corporate video promoting your business, I will put my years of experience to use and create the perfect promo video.
